Mr. Reagan Anusionwu is an ANCC(American Nurses Credentialing Center) board recognized Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in mental health over the past decade. He received his master's of science in nursing with a concentration as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Hunter College School of Nursing in New York state. He received a post-graduate mental health certificate in advance lifespan Psychopharmacology from the prestigious Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is currently a Doctor of Nursing Practice Candidate at Fairleigh Dickinson Universtiy in Madison New Jersey. His current research interest is increasing mental health care access to immigrant populations in New York State. He has been successfully managing Renewed Psychiatry LLC, a private mental health clinic in the Bronx, New Yor over the last few years. He provides services to a range of patients with depression, bipolar, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD as well as other behavioral issues. He has concurrently practiced at Riker's Island, one of the most populated jails in the United States. There he learned to manage the most complex cases in mood disorders, schizophrenia, and Bipolar Disorders. His level of interest in serving vulnerable populations is very evident. His expertise in Child & Adolescent, geriatric, substance abuse, forensic and inpatient/outpatient psychiatry settings is unprecedented. As a former associate clinical professor at Bellevue Hunter College in New York, Mr. Anusionwu excels at bridging the gap in knowledge for NP students transitioning into practice. He enjoys mentoring the next generation of mental health clinicians, equipping them with up to date evidence-based mental health care, improving population outcomes. In his spare time, he enjoys spending family time with his wife and two young children in New York, New York.
